Are you like us? Are you kept up at night with the big questions? Why are we here? what's life all about? And is that weird noise my brakes make normal? We can't help you with the first two but with the third, we've got your back!
Come into our warm workshop with our trained mechanic who will help you answer the big questions like when are pads worn, should it rub, how can I stop it rubbing, why does it make that noise and how can I tune it so I can confidently stop every time, rain or shine?
This is a cable-operated brake session, there should be no expectation of bleeding hydraulic systems. You can expect to be learning about cable-operated disc brakes, cable-operated rim brake systems and how to adjust hydraulic brakes.
You will be using props that we will provide and will NOT be working on your own bike during this class.
This class aims to improve participants' ability to tune brakes, identify braking issues and obtain knowledge of common fixes.
Clothing: Wear something you don't mind that may get grimy (aprons and PPE will be provided).
Support: Please let us know in advance if there are any medical or learning requirements. We will endeavour to facilitate these if possible.
Catering: Our cafe is open till 9 pm on Thursdays and the class will have breaks included where you can grab a bite to eat.
