Branch Annual Meeting & Supporting Working Carers

Be part of the CIPD in Northamptonshire event, get practical guidance from Northamptonshire Carers, a Wellingborough based Charity supporting people with carer responsibilities. They have extensive knowledge and have worked with major employers to develop their business to supporting working carers.

A carer is anyone who looks after a family member or friend who has a disability, mental or physical illness, addiction, or who needs extra help as they grow older.

This event is combined with the Branch Annual Meeting, where you will get an update from the Branch Chair and insight into the exciting events planned for 2023 to 2024.

The CIPD in Northamptonshire event is joined by Nicola Best, and Jacqui-Falconer-Blake, from Northamptonshire Carers, a Wellingborough based Charity supporting people with carer responsibilities.

They will be giving you information and case studies of organisations where supporting working carers has made a difference to both Employer and Employee.

This event will also include the Branch Annual Meeting, where Nicky Buckley MCIPD as Branch Chair will provide you with a short update on the Branch and the exciting programme of events planned for 2023 to 2024.

Nicola Best. A former Carer with experience of working in both primary and secondary care within the NHS. Has worked for Northamptonshire Carers for 26 years. Currently, working with former carers, developing E-Learning courses as well as looking into strategies and services for those looking after someone who is at the end of life.

Jacqui Falconer-Blake - A long distance and hands on Carer, in every sense a working Carer with has worked for Northamptonshire Carers for 14 years. Currently, working with employers to support the Carers they employ.
