Branching Out 2025 is a career fair where you can meet employers, attend workshops, and have interviews (if selected). It’s hosted by Career Tree and free to attend.

What time should I arrive?

Please check the entry time slot you booked on your ticket (10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, or 1 PM).
Doors open at 9:45 AM. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in.

Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

Your Eventbrite ticket (printed or on your phone with the QR code)

An up-to-date CV (on your phone or printed)

A charged smartphone (you’ll need it to tap or scan at booths)

(Optional) Notepad and pen

What should I wear?

Business casual or smart-casual is ideal.
You don’t need to wear a suit — just look neat and job-ready.

Will there be interviews on the day?

Yes — pre-scheduled interviews only.
If you're selected, you’ll be contacted by Career Tree before the event with your time and employer name.

What are NFC tags and how do I use them?

NFC tags let you tap your phone on the table to quickly submit your interest to employers.

On Android: Go to Settings → Connected Devices → Turn ON NFC

On iPhone (XR or newer): NFC is always on — just tap!

What happens when I tap or scan at a booth?

Accepted Answer

You’ll be taken to a quick form where you submit your name. That information gets sent to the employer after the event, so they can contact you if they’re interested.

Do I have to tap/scan at every table?

Accepted Answer

No — only at the employers you're interested in.
But the more you engage, the more chances you’ll have for follow-up opportunities.

Do I need to book a workshop?

Accepted Answer

Yes — workshops have limited space.
During registration, you’ll see an option to select a workshop. If it’s full, you can try another time slot.

Will there be help if I get confused?

Accepted Answer

Yes.
Staff and volunteers will be around all day. Look for Career Tree Lanyards or visit the Help Desk at the entrance.

Is the event accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is lift access, wide walkways, and quiet areas available.

Will there be food?

Yes — free refreshments and water are provided in the networking zone for all registered attendees.

Yes — but only if they also register through Eventbrite. Each person needs their own ticket to manage space and time slots.

No. Please only register for one time slot so we can keep everything fair and manageable for all attendees.

If you had an interview or registered your interest at a table, Career Tree will follow up with employers and share your details. You’ll also receive a short feedback form — it helps us improve and keep these events free.
