Event description

Do you want to make an impact in 2020? Then you should join us at BRAND 10! I’m going to share 10 tips for how your brand can drive your business success. Whether you want to break into new markets, launch new products or simply consolidate the success you have already achieved, these 10 tips will help you to achieve your goal.

“The event was a good opportunity to take the time to think about the best route forward for my business - with the benefit of some practical guidance from Jonathan.”

Tim Wadsworth, Director, Space

For 10 years I’ve been standing up in front of ambitious businesses to share my advice, offer some insight and answer their questions. I’ve hosted 38 events and met 231 ambitious businesses. For BRAND 10 I've taken all of that experience to compile my top 10 tips for brand success. We’ll be discussing why it’s important to:

1. Set a goal

It’s easier to hit a target when you know what you’re aiming at.

2. Pick your target audience

Don’t waste your time – or money - talking to the wrong people.

3. Establish your market position

Identify who your competitors are, and how you'll compete.

4. Tell people why you’re different

Give your potential customers a really good reason to buy from you.

5. Explain how you can help

Tell people about the benefit your products or services deliver.

6. Make a plan

Use your time and money in the most efficient and effective way.

7. Be distinctive and memorable (and consistent)

Create a brand identity that will get you noticed, in print and online.

8. Take every opportunity

We’ll explain all the opportunities you have to make an impact.

9. Do something

Bring your brand to life and make an impression on your target audience.

10. Measure the impact

Track your progress, so you can make changes if necessary.

BRAND 10 is designed to be interactive, so there will be lots of time for questions, queries, discussion and debate. You bring the questions, I’ll supply the answers!

I’ve been running these events for 10 years, helping businesses like yours to make an impact. I’ve hosted 38 events and met 231 ambitious businesses. This is what some of them had to say:

"A really enjoyable event full of lots of great tips for branding your business. Highly recommended."

Ben Dunford, Director, epraise

“I guess the biggest take away for me was the ladder of customer relationship/behaviours. Here Jonathan showed us the value of brand in developing life-long loyal customers – all of us want that don’t we?”

Daryl Fulls, Managing Director, Scribble and Ink

"I can highly recommend these events to anyone wanting to start a business or those looking to refresh and keep on top of their game.”

Sandra Wright, COO, Connexion Software

“Jonathan is a true professional and is THE person to turn to for all branding advice! The branding workshop he runs is well structured and concise, with content that is easy to understand."

Lottie Francis, Creative Director, Creative Reach

A bit about me

I’ve been working in the creative industry for 30 years. Since 2005 I’ve been running Alder and Alder, helping organizations across the south west to make an impact. I’ve helped startups to win their first customer, and industry leaders to earn their next million.

Before that I worked in London, for clients that included HSBC, AXA Insurance, Regus, Ernst & Young, Early Learning Centre, The British Library, The National Trust, Sainsbury’s and Ashridge Management College. This event takes all of that experience and distils it into 10 practical tips, so your brand can provide the fuel to drive your company forward.
