Event description

Description

Start-ups need to focus on their business offering and channels to market but also cannot afford to not think about their brand; building a strong brand can only help establish the new product or service in the marketplace.

A start-up has a ‘clean slate’ so it needs to choose a brand that defines and positions the company so that it stands out from the competition. For example, TripAdvisor has had to work hard to reposition itself as being more than just a site for reviews of hotels and restaurants into a site where a customer can book a hotel or restaurant.

This module will help participants to think about how to build a brand that is engaging and differentiates the business from its competition. The brand needs to convey the company’s essence, its values and vision.

Event Format:
9.15am – 9.30am: Arrival and registration
9.30am – 10.30am: Presentation, delivered by Dr. Claudia M. Duffy, European Patent Attorney and Founder of Innovare IP
10.30am – 10.45am: Comfort break
10.45am – 11.45am: Opportunity to ask questions 1-2-1 during informal networking (1-2-1 sessions are not pre-bookable)
12.00pm: Event close
