About this Event
New World mainly refers to all the wine growing regions outside Europe, including countries like USA, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand or South Africa.
In the first part of the Brave New World course we will be having a closer look at four of them: Argentina, Chile, New Zealand and Australia, bringing your educational but fun information about its key regions and varieties, providing you with wines and food suggestions, and digging deep into their culture and history.
Nika Shevela, the main educator for this course, is a certified wine educator and experienced wine communicator, and all of these countries are part of the syllabus of official WSET courses she teaches in Barcelona, Spain.
The calendar for the course is as follows:
- February 24: Argentina
- March 3: Chile
- March 10: New Zealand
- March 17: Australia
During this workshop you will learn about:
- main facts about key varieties and regions
- background on history and culture of each country
- fun facts about typical foods and traditions
- practical recommendations of wine producers and regional dishes
The workshops includes:
- 4 online sessions, 1,5 hour each, conducted on Zoom
- Video recordings, available to watch on demand any time
- Custom-build Online Classroom with quizzes, resources and exercises, available to use for 1 year after the class date
- Slides with all the theory information
