Helping you make valuable connections in the global offshore wind sector.
Offshore Wind in Brazil
Brazil has not started any offshore wind construction, but it is an emerging country in this sector. The Brazilian Government recently published a roadmap that indicated that the potential of Offshore Wind generation could reach 1,780GW.
Currently, there are seven projects seeking environmental licensing and government authorisation to start building the first offshore parks. Equinor and Iberdrola are two of the developers. The forecast is that this new segment will play an significant role in the electric sector in 10 years.
