In the last few years, MFA has become more of a requirement than an option, being able to mitigate various credential-based attacks. However, whilst critical, MFA is not a silver bullet. In this technical session, we’ll demonstrate a live adversary-in-the-middle (AiTM) phishing attack to bypass MFA and hijack a Microsoft 365 session. You’ll see how attackers gain persistent access—even adding their own MFA method. We’ll then discuss how Microsoft security tools like Entra ID P1/P2 and Defender for Office 365 can detect and block this threat with risk-based policies, phishing protection, and attack simulations.
