Breads of the World - Spain, Middle East and North Africa
Sat 22 April 2017, 10:00 – 14:00 BST
The breads of Spain and North Africa make the perfect accompaniment to sharing platters inspired by the Middle East and salads perfect for al fresco summer meals. The class can be taken by beginners but we would recommend novice bakers to start with one of our Beginner's Bread classes in order to get the full benefit of our world bread classes.
We start with making a delicious Pain Rustico which will go with our lunch of air cured ham, tomatoes and olives. We then turn our hand to an enriched Spanish Pan de Leche before moving on to a variety of flat breads including Pitta. The pièce de resistance of this class is a magnificent platted Challa. The class starts with fresh bread, tea and coffee and includes a light lunch with fresh bread and sharing platters of vibrant Middle Eastern food.
