Entrepreneurs and businesses across Warrington will be able to access bespoke advice and support to help them grow, thanks to a series of workshops and seminars delivered by Warrington Collegiate.The Cheshire & Warrington Growth Programme is a new partnership, funded by the European Regional Development Fund. It will deliver growth activities to entrepreneurs, sole traders and small and medium sized businesses across Cheshire. The scheme engages and draws investment from key local business support organisations to address identified local market failures.
Responding to the Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) request for new measures, to encourage economic growth, the partnership will provide access to the specialist expertise and facilities available from Colleges, Universities and Local Authority Growth teams, as well as science and business parks.
Olwen Dolan, Project Manager at Warrington Collegiate, said: “We will support SMEs to develop growth strategies. We will do this via face-to-face interactions and cohort-based programmes; developing a bespoke growth plan for each company.”
The Growth Programme will facilitate the exploitation of new firms, through a programme of support including pre and post business start-up advice, how to access finance and workforce development needs analysis.Support will also be given to SMEs to develop growth strategies, through coaching and mentoring, specialist innovation support, marketing and much more.
