Workshop description

FORMcard is a handy pocket sized card of meltable bio-plastic. It can be melted down in a simple cup of hot water to make adaptations and modifications to existing off the shelf toys and building blocks.

In this workshop Peter Marigold, creator of FORMcard, will be demonstrating how to make both removable and permanent modifications to items adding organic and hand made flourishes to otherwise factory-produced parts. As FORMcards can actually fuse onto plastics, he will also show how to use them to fix broken items and for more advanced participants will also demonstrate how to make quick simple moulds to replicate plastic parts instantly.

What experience do I need?

No previous experience needed - this workshop is aimed at both adults and children.

Who will be teaching me?

Peter Marigold is a designer and maker of objects. After completing the M.A. Design Products course at the RCA he established his studio concentrating on a wide variety of objects including furniture, products and interiors. In 2015 he created FORMcard, a meltable bio-plastic product with far reaching applications for everyday situations which was successfully funded with over £250k on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo and is now sold globally.
