Event description

Description

The Breakthrough Project, which supports children and young people to explore Identity, Body Image, Self-Esteem and Gender Stereotyping using the arts. This programme is supported by fabulous and highly skilled participatory artists who are supported by trained staff who provide a safe and encouraging environment for children and young people to talk openly and discuss the issue's without judgement. By doing this we aim is to reduce negative and anti social behaviour thus broadening their horizons by removing barriers that potentially stop a child reaching their full potential.

This event will showcase the work created by the participants of the Breakthrough Project throughout the 10 week programme, as well as an opportunity to empower and discuss the issue's women face on a daily basis, in a happy and relaxed environment.

The event will also include a variety of speakers and a performance of written word. A short film will be played that will help you understand the workshop process.

What about food? Of course !! There will be canapes on arrival with a selection of soft drinks.

Please note this event will be filmed, we will try and get your good side!

Please sign up and we look forward to seeing you
