Pause to Be was established by Elspeth Lewis in 2019 to share the life-enhancing benefits of mindfulness with others.
Elspeth is a certified Mindfulness Teacher, sound practitioner and author, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is also a parent to two teenagers and a lively golden retriever. Elspeth recognises the importance of sharing mindfulness with warmth, curiosity and humour.
Following a fulfilling career in HR Resourcing in the construction and energy sectors for 16 years, she experienced a period of quite intense loss, and decided to take time out to focus on family. It was during this time that she discovered the power of mindfulness practice.
Elspeth holds a Mindfulness Teaching qualification in the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) with Shamash Alidina's Teach Mindfulness Academy, accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). She also holds a Level 2 Diploma in Integral Sound Healing for Groups with the Sound Healing Academy. Elspeth has trained in the mindfulness-based approach of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training) for adults and adolescents, is a registered member of the CMA, and holds PVG Scheme Membership.
