Event description

Description

London South Bank University and The University of Kent invite you to attend a collaborative event, bringing together people with learning disabilities with lived experience of breast screening, professionals and medical staff. We want to explore the common challenges faced surrounding breast screening and how we can all work together to find solutions across the different disciplines.

At the event we will explore breast screening from a range of stakeholder perspectives. We will be sharing innovative research in this area looking specifically at the impact of capacity to consent on breast screening. There will be interactive workshops on topics such the ethic-legal issues related to breast screening with people with learning disabilities. We will also have interactive workshops exploring how drama can be used to make breast screening less intimidating and increase uptake among people with learning disabilities.

This exciting event is for anyone interested in breast screening for people with learning disabilities.
