Breast Cancer Awareness Month is 40 years old in 2025.

Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance are raising awareness about breast cancer signs and symptoms and the NHS breast screening service during this global campaingn.

We are presenting free short 30 minute online breast cancer awareness sessions for all. We use the word breast to be clinically accurate. You may call your body between your rib up to your collarbone and armpits, including your nipples something else. That is ok.

Please come and join one of our short 30 minute sessions and learn more about;

  • the history of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
  • the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
  • how to do a breast check
  • when is breast cancer screening offered
  • what happens at a breast cancer screening
  • how to reduce your risk of developing breast cancer.

Anyone living or working within the Humber and North Yorkshire area can attend one of our sessions.

N.B. The Microsoft Teams joining link for the session will be sent the day before the event.

Disclaimer: Please note that the Cancer Champions Team reserves the right to cancel any session that does not meet our minimum number of 6 bookings, up to 2 hours before the start of the session.
