Event description

Description

Breathing Spaces’ is a walking tour of Liverpool City Centre which will start and end at Ed’s Place in the Old George Henry Lee, where there’ll be an optional follow up discussion on what we’ve just seen.

One of the great joys of a town, any town, is finding places where any of us can sit and watch the world go by. Or read a book, check our messages, talk to a friend or simply sit and have a rest. There are places where you can do this around Liverpool City Centre, but many of them are flawed in various ways, as we’ll discover and discuss on this walk. Than at the end of the walk we’ll come back to Ed’s Place in George Henry Lee to talk about what we’ve seen. Thinking about ways we could make more of these gardens, squares, sitting spaces and quiet corners that surround us but could be so much better with a bit more thought.

Walk and talk lasting 2 1/2 hours in total and led by Ronnie Hughes, who writes the Liverpool blog ‘A Sense of Place'

Distance: 3km

Accessibility: Some uneven paving, but no significant barriers or inaccessible areas will be covered.
