Breathlessness in advanced disease: An opportunity for multi-professional shared learning and service development

When: Tuesday 26th June 2018, 8.30am-4.30pm

Where: Bridge Community Church, Rider Street, Leeds, LS9 7BQ

This event has been funded by the CCG to improve integrated working, providing a multi-professional collaborative educational opportunity.


The study day will include a strong CPD component with updates in managing COPD, heart failure, Oxygen delivery, and withdrawal of ventilator support amongst proposed topics, as well as an information sharing & a round table discussion on improving integrated care for patients with advanced respiratory and cardiac disease.


Learning objectives:

- Review of current evidence based around breathlessness management

- Identifying and treating reversible causes for breathlessness

- Understanding the practicalities of non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy in advanced disease

- Be aware of advanced care planning and the new ReSPECT documentation



This study day is aimed at all healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with advanced respiratory and cardiac disease
