This two-part experiential workshop guides you on a journey that reconnects your body and mind through intentional breathing.
Each part combines learning, practice, and shared experience.

Part One: Understanding and Regulation

In this session, we explore how our emotions and energy levels can become dysregulated — feeling too angry, too flat, too jumpy, or too eager to please.
Through a series of simple, evidence-informed breathing techniques, you’ll learn how to steady your nervous system and return to balance, whatever is happening around you.

Your new breathing toolbox will help you:

  • Stay calmer and make clearer decisions under pressure
  • Lift low mood or sluggish energy when you need a boost
  • Understand how your body responds to breath in real time

We’ll try everything together, building practical skills you can use every day.

Part Two: Breathwork for Transformation

In the second session, we move from techniques into a deeper, immersive breathwork journey. Using breath, music, and optional hands-on bodywork, you’ll be guided into a safe, natural, altered state of consciousness created by short-term, intentional over-breathing.

You may experience:

  • A sense of deep clarity or insight
  • Emotional release
  • A powerful shift in perspective
  • Or simply a meaningful, relaxing journey inward

You remain fully in control throughout, supported and grounded as you explore what arises.

What to Bring

Just come in comfortable clothing, with a blanket to stay warm and a willingness to explore something new.
Everything else is provided, although if you have a yoga mat it's always nice to use your own.

Who's running the Workshop?

Matthew Dooley-Wain (he/him) is an accredited coach, hypnotherapist and trainer. He has worked across the world with groups in 13 countries teaching everything from hypnosis to setting boundaries in your relationships and work. He has a cocahing and hypnotherapy based business in Stalybridge and works with clients in person and across the world online.

Who's the workshop for?

Anyone. If you feel stress, or find yourself disregulated, or lethargic at work or in your home life you'll learn something from this session. It's a safe space whatever your identity. As long as you're an adult who is ready to learn to use your breath in ways to make your life better, you're welcome.
