About this event
Most of us are not taught how to regulate ourselves in times of stress, low mood, fatigue or pain and many of us feel like we need the help of others to feel better.
In my experience, we can learn to support ourselves through simple, safe Breathing techniques and practical tools. Through regular practice, we can become more connected to our body and more able to shift feelings, energy levels and thought patterns.
This Breathwork series has been specifically designed so that anyone can attend - you can join in sitting or lying down, be silent or chat, take part or just listen. There is no expectation. Showing up for yourself is enough.
What you will get out of the sessions:
Session 1 - Breath Pattern Analysis - time to explore your breathing pattern and begin your breathwork practice
Session 2 - Finding Balance - exploring the nervous system and relieving anxiety by bringing yourself into a state of balance
Session 3 - Dropping into Calm - using your new breath awareness and balanced state to drop into calm for good sleep
Session 4 - Raising Energy - exploring energising tools and techniques to lift your mood to relieve depression
Session 5 - Pain Relief - adding practical tools alongside breathing techniques to alleviate pain
Session 6 - Building Mental Strength - creating new thoughts and beliefs alongside breathing techniques
What to expect from the sessions:
Sessions are held online, via Zoom, and you can choose to sit, lie or move around, whatever feels most comfortable for you. Each session explores some of the science behind gentle Breathwork practices, stretches and self-massage. As we have just 10 in the group, there is time for me to observe and feedback on your individual breathing pattern. The sessions are gentle and you are invited to follow your own body, so only do what feels right. At the end of each session, you will take away new practices with short audios or playlists to trial and experiment with. Sessions are 2 weeks apart to give you time to integrate.
On booking, you will receive a programme outline, information on how to prepare and Zoom links. You will also receive a separate email with a Breathwork form that will need to be completed before the first session.
