The Brent Voluntary Sector Forum is led by CVS Brent as part of its Brent Meta Network (BMN) project. The BMN project provides a platform to encourage dialogue between voluntary & community sector (VCS) organisations in Brent and other key strategic partners, including Brent Council and Brent CCG. The Forum consists of open meetings attended by VCS organisations, strategic partners and other stakeholders to discuss and agree upon key issues that concern Brent's wider VCS and its residents. The BMN project welcomes representatives from across the sector and serve to create a collective voice for Brent's VCS to help shape agendas and future decision making. BMN provides the opportunity to:
Enable voluntary and community groups to come together to exchange information, share ideas and address issues of mutual interest and importance.
Facilitate dialogue between partners, including statutory sector and the business community.
Come together as a collective with adequate representation from key segments from the VCS, such as sports, early years, youth and older people.
Influence local strategies that will bring community benefit.
Make the best use of the VCS's skills, resources, information and expertise by working co-operatively.
Explore ways of doing things differently, especially in the current socio-economic climate.
