This year marks the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. The Holocaust threatened the fabric of civilisation, and genocide must still be resisted every day. Our world often feels fragile and vulnerable and we cannot be complacent. Even in the UK, prejudice and the language of hatred must be challenged by us all.
To mark the national Holocaust Memorial Day, Brent Council prepared an online event to pay tribute to the victims murdered during the Holocaust and in genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
Join us to hear the stories that were not learned from history books, but around the dinner table. Special guests: Mala Tribich and Michael Helfgott
Listen to the performance of The London Cantorial Singers.
Stand with us against hatred and intolerance to not let it go unchallenged.
The event will take place online on Zoom on 03 February 2022 from 6pm.
