Join us next month for an event hosted by Johnston Carmichael, the leading accountancy firm in the Scottish food & drink industry.

Speakers include James Fellowes from ISWR who will talk about the macro trends in the global beverage alcohol industry and potential implications for Scottish breweries and distilleries, and Phil Harding from Boutique Bar Brands who will discuss the challenges of moving your brand from start up to national distribution, and how to break into bigger markets like London.

Phil Harding, Boutique Bar Brands

Phil is the founder of London based drinks incubator and sales agency Boutique Bar Brands. BBB have worked on the launch and build of brands like Fuller's Frontier, St Stefanus Blonde and Harry Brompton's Ice Tea. Currently they are working with, amongst others, Island Records Session IPA, Dingle Distillery and Sekforde botanical mixers, developing distribution and volume across the country with their team of brand ambassadors and sales people. BBB's in depth knowledge of both the off and on trade, as well as the wholesale network in the UK, makes them experts in growing brands from early stage and achieving sales within the hyper competitive UK market.

Phil will talk about the challenges of moving your brand from start up to national distribution and how to break into the big markets like London.

James Fellowes, IWSR

James is "Steeped in Beer”. He has spent almost his entire 25 year+ career in sales, marketing and management of beer and alcoholic drinks. Having worked extensively on both sides of the pond, he sees the world through the lens of a beer supplier (12 years with Guinness), beer retailer (10 years with Bass Taverns), beer vendor (Omnicom and IWSR), beer entrepreneur and of course is a passionate beer drinker.

James currently leads the Beer division for the IWSR, the global leader in market intelligence and trends for the adult beverage industry.
