Event Details

This event is open to all individuals within the local business community of North Wales and North West England. We are expecting a high level of interest in the event and have limited space so please register your attendance as soon possible and we will be sure to keep you up-to-date with developments.

This timely landmark event focusing on Brexit is our biggest yet and has been organised by Alyn & Deeside Assembly Member Jack Sargeant, with the support of The Rt Hon David Hanson MP; Delyn, The Rt Hon Mark Tami MP; Alyn & Deeside, and Deputy Minister for Housing and Local Government, Hannah Blythyn AM, in partnership with the Deeside Business Forum.

January 11th marks the third Brexit-themed business conference we have held since the referendum result was announced.

You are invited to join us and represent your business at this uniquely grassroots-style event. This is your opportunity to discuss the impact of the proposed agreement on your day-to-day operations and livelihood with your political representatives.

Attendees include business stakeholders from SMEs of all sizes, from microbusinesses to medium-sized operations, and from across North Wales and the neighbouring business communities of North West England.

Opening speeches will be followed by breakaway discussion groups, each chaired by either an MP or an AM.

A number of senior politicians have committed to attend on January 11th, including Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Rebecca Long-Bailey MP; Wales’ First Minister, Mark Drakeford AM; and Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport, Ken Skates AM. Discussion topics will be confirmed in advance and might include: the potential effects on the labour market, employment requirements, trade tariffs, border issues, supply chain conditions, regulatory and legal uncertainty & more.

The interactive conference will be followed by a networking lunch at the internationally acclaimed Theatr Clwyd; the pride of Flintshire and one of our region’s leading attractions. There will also be a strong national and local media presence throughout the event.
