Description

Brexit Debate at the University of Greenwich

Following a successful series of Brexit lectures in early 2018, a panel debate on Brexit will take place on Monday, 25 March 2019, the eve of the UK's planned departure from the European Union.


The following individuals have been confirmed to take part in the debate:

Chair:

Andrea Catherwood, journalist and BBC broadcaster.

Speakers:

Iain Duncan Smith, Conservative MP for Chingford and Woodford Green

Jurgen Kronig, OBE, author, journalist and president emeritus of the Foreign Press Association U.K. and the German correspondent for Die Zeit

Professor David Collins, Professor of International Economic Law at City, University of London

Emma Duncan, social policy editor of the Economist

Sally Keeble, Labour politician, Former MP for Northampton North and leader of Southwark Council

Timings

Our registration desks will be open from 17:00

The debate itself is scheduled to start at 18:00

Networking with refreshments and canapes will be taking place after the event from 19:15 till 21:00

Please arrive 30 mins before the debate starts to be seated as our lecture theatres have a restricted capacity and we cannot guarantee to seat everyone. Latecomers may not be permitted entry into the main theatre however, we will have an overflow room whereby the event will be livestreamed.
