The British Romanian Chamber of Commerce in London is pleased to invite Romanian SMEs and entrepreneurs to an event on the potential implications of Brexit for their businesses.

Bringing together two expert speakers, Sonali Parekh of the Federation of Small Businesses, and Dr Lusine Navasardyan of OTS Solicitors, the event will explore questions about the potential post-Brexit regulatory environment with particular reference to cross border trading and immigration/work permits.

The meeting will be followed by a reception sponsored by Halewood International, the UK’s leading distributor of Romanian wine.

About the speakers

Sonali Parekh, Federation of Small Businesses

Sonali is the Head of Policy for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Prior to that she spent over fifteen years in the Civil Service most recently as Deputy Director for Markets for Government Services / Commercial Function at the Cabinet Office and before that Senior Adviser for the Prime Minister's Implementation Group. She also held roles in Home Office, Ministry of Justice, Department for Work & Pensions and Department for Education

Dr Lusine Navasardyan, OTS Solicitors

Dr Navasardyan joined OTS Solicitors in 2015. With an extensive knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the challenges businesses face from their inception and throughout their existence, Lusine advises clients in respect of relocating their businesses to the UK, via the Tier I (Investor), Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), Tier 2 (General), Tier 2 (ICT) or Sole Representative of an Overseas Business visa categories.

Working in the Corporate and Business Immigration Departments, her role is instrumental for businesses looking to widen their talent search pool. She advises in respect of all business immigration issues for both employers and employees including sponsor licence applications, the sponsor’s duties and obligations and general employment compliance issues for the businesses.

Lusine has been a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2005 and a registered European lawyer since 2015. She is fluent in Romanian, Russian, and Armenian.
