The Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce have organised a Lunch Meeting on Friday 9th December for members and non members to attend at the Bay Waverley Castle Hotel, Melrose.
Probably the most asked question of the last few months has been "What does Brexit actually mean?" Nobody really seems to know including both the UK Government and, indeed, the EU but it's possible effect on business and commerce is giving cause for concern. Michael Moore whose experience at the top level of Government has given him expert knowledge of such matters, has agreed to give us his insight.
"In the months since the referendum vote, there have been many questions posed about the significance of Brexit and how it will affect business across the country. And, separately, whether it will lead to another referendum on independence in Scotland.
"Former Borders MP Michael Moore is now a senior adviser on Brexit and devolution at the consultancy firm PwC. He will set out the major themes which ministers and both Parliaments will be considering as the UK prepares for the Brexit process to begin formally with the triggering of 'Article 50'. And he will also outline some of the key issues which businesses in the Borders need to be considering right now."
You will be provided with a 2 course Lunch with Tea & Coffee which is included in your ticket price.
