The Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are co-hosting this event to showcase the Council’s research related to the process of the UK leaving the European Union. This includes 25 new short projects since April 2017 which aim to support parliamentarians scrutinising the Brexit process.

During the event, audience members will have the chance to circulate and speak individually to researchers working on the EU withdrawal projects in the Attlee Suite, with stands showcasing each project.

At the same time, parallel breakout sessions focused on the seven different project themes (see below) will be running in rooms along the first floor of Portcullis House giving attendees the chance to discuss the issues in more detail. The breakout sessions will focus on:

Citizens, devolution and representation
Public views on Brexit
Trade and economics
Brexit and free movement
Party politics, European politics and process
Spatial economic impacts
Post-Brexit Governance issues across the UK - impact on equalities, health and environmental policy
