This event is part of the Fabian fringe at Labour party conference 2016, and is being held in partnership with TheCityUK.
This fringe event will focus on the risks and opportunities arising from the Brexit vote in June for the UK’s financial and related professional services industry. Employing over 2.2 million people across the country and contributing 12% of GDP, the industry is a national asset with a key role to play in supporting the wider economy.
With a new paradigm in place following the UK’s decision to leave the European Union, please join us to discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead for our industry.
TheCityUK’s fringe event at the Labour Party Conference 2016 will take the form of a panel discussion between industry leaders and members of the Labour Party. Speakers include: Seema Malhotra MP (Labour MP for Feltham and Heston), Alison McGovern MP (Labour MP for Wirral South), Miles Celic (chief executive, TheCityUK). Christopher Bates (partner, Clifford Chance). Chaired by Olivia Bailey (research director, Fabian Society)
