EU EXIT TRAINING - London

As we are (at least scheduled) to leave the EU by the 31st October 2019 there are a number of important questions for UK trading standards. The EU’s ambition for a harmonised single market has transformed our domestic system of consumer protection and regulation over 40 years. In that time swathes of EU directives, regulations and shared networks have impacted hugely on the role of trading standards. So, as we leave the EU, what next for trading standards?

CTSI’s Brexit Think Tank was formed to consider the risks and opportunities from our EU departure. Focusing on the main areas where the EU has influenced our work, it analysed the detail across areas such as fair trading, e-Commerce, product safety, intellectual property and rural trading standards among others.

This free course for trading standards staff will give delegates an excellent opportunity to get understanding of the considerations and findings of that work, some of the challenges ahead, and a focus on the selected key areas from a Brexit Think Tank specialist.

The training day will allow you to you claim 4 hours 30 minutes in CPPD hours.
