Event description

Description

Tea/coffee available from 10.30am. Event begins at 11.00 am

In March, the UK Government gave official notice of its intention to withdraw from the European Union. It is not yet clear what form Brexit will take and what our future relationship with Europe will be. The Scottish Government has set out its own demands, including that Scotland should remain within the European single market.

Please join us for a chance to learn more about the issues at stake and what the options are. There will be short presentations by specialists on Europe, followed by an open discussion.

This is part of a series of talks around Scotland organised by the Centre on Constitutional Change to inform the debate and allow citizens to engage in it.

Chair: Dr Jeff Howarth, Vice-Principal (Enterprise) - UHI

Speakers:
Linda Stewart, Director of European and International DevelopmentMA (Hons) - UHI
Michael Keating, Professor of Politics (Aberdeen) and Director of the Centre on Constitutional Change
