The platform will be shared by two eminent British European politicians.
Sir Graham and Richard will be considering the enormity of the obstacles the government faces as it begins negotiations? What is the likely reaction behind the scenes within the EU institutions. What are our European partners really thinking? Do they think we are mad? How big are the technical obstacles?
Richard Corbett MEP
Between January 2010 and February 2014, Richard Corbett was an advisor to the first full-time and long-term President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy. In this capacity, and as a frequent writer and commentator on European affairs, he was voted by a panel of retired diplomats, journalists, academics and think-tankers on 14 November 2012 as the fourth most influential Briton on EU policy, ahead of the Prime Minister, the Chancellor and Commission Vice President Baroness Ashton. Richard is now Deputy-Leader of the Labour Party in the European Parliament and is vice-Chair of the European Movement.
