About this event

👣 Join us for a walk around Peterlee.

Led by local historian Colin Robson, this is a chance to see the town differently - to walk, talk and think about how places make us feel.

We’re starting with a simple idea: bricks. Not the building kind (well, sort of), but 108 little bricks full of contradictions – like Peterlee itself. A new town built on old land. Tower blocks next to wild green space. A pavilion people wanted to knock down, but now protect.

This walk is part of a bigger project about emotion, place and perspective. Think of it as a moving conversation – about what we’ve built, what we’ve lost, and what still might be possible.

Bring comfy shoes and an open mind.

The walk leaves from the Pavilion (sports centre) on Helford Road.

The walk will be around 90 minutes long and will take place in all but extreme weathers. If you are unable to make it, please contact aaron@nomorenowt.org.

This event is part of Peterlee Place Lab, part of the Into the Light programme.
