Format: 45-minute talk followed by Q&A
Abstract: Women’s health is increasingly recognized as a critical issue that intersects with clinical care, workplace wellbeing, and social policy. My research focuses on reproductive and menopausal health across the life course, with particular attention to occupational health and public health perspectives in Japan. Building on collaborations initiated at the RENKEI Health Workshop with Dr. Alina Geampana (Durham University), this talk will highlight ongoing projects on menopause, fertility care, and the role of FemTech in women’s health. By comparing Japan’s clinical and occupational health approaches with UK policy initiatives and gender-sensitive frameworks, I aim to identify common challenges and opportunities for international collaboration. The goal is to explore shared research agendas and co-develop concrete projects that can generate meaningful impact in both countries.
Speaker: Dr. Miho Iida is an obstetrician-gynecologist and epidemiologist at Keio University School of Medicine, specializing in women’s health, preventive medicine, and occupational health. Her research integrates metabolomics, cohort studies, and workplace health to advance healthy ageing and reproductive health. She is committed to fostering international collaboration, particularly between Japan and the UK, to develop innovative approaches to women’s health.
