About this Event

In light of the changes in the world we had to postpone the world's first symposium on The Science of Magic, Wellbeing & Happiness. (new date TBC)

But, fear not! To express our gratitude to front-line healthcare workers we're focusing on Magic & Healthcare. We have a lineup of healthcare experts who will be facilitating a virtual session exploring the use of magic in dentistry and other healthcare professions.

We will be hearing from 3 amazing speakers, with space for Q&A and discussion.

Dr. Eyal Simchi is a Pediatric dentist who does dentistry differently. A trailblazer in the use of new and inovative techniques, focused on improving his patients’ experiences, Dr. Simchi has gained worldwide attention for his use of magic in dentistry.

Rich Shalmiyev is a physician and will be starting his first year of residency this July in Aventura, Florida. He has been learning and performing magic for over 15 years. His focus is street and close-up magic which allows him to perform for his patients in an attempt to improve their quality of care.

Ricardo Rosenkranz was a student of the legendary Eugene Burger for nearly 20 years. As a Magical Performer, Ricardo has been often seen on the stage of Magic Chicago, and is a regular performer and lecturer at the annual Magic and Meaning Conference in Las Vegas. Dr. Rosenkranz also created the nation’s first medical school curriculum for the study of magic and medicine, where students explore the performance aspects of medicine and the anthropological relationship between medicine and the magical arts.

Hosted by Goldsmiths Psychology's M.A.G.I.C. lab in partnership with Abracademy & Science of Positive Magic.

✨ All ticket proceeds will be divided and donated to both College of Magic in Africa and Movement for Black Lives. ✨
