Join our volunteer tour guide to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes at the Tamar Bridge. You'll go inside the anchorage and see an area normally closed to the public.

Tour lasts approx 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Given the nature of the location of the anchorage (an enclosed space with steep steps), we may not be able to meet certain specific accessibility requirements. Please note a minimum age of 11 years applies to this tour.

The Visitor and Learning Centre at the Tamar Bridge celebrates the engineering heritage of both the 20th century Tamar Bridge and Brunel’s iconic 19th century Royal Albert rail Bridge.

The Centre has free interactive exhibitions and is open daily 10-4 and has a learning and events programme which brings the bridges to life. There are talks, walks, family activities and guided tours throughout the year.
