About this event

Brief CAT: A day workshop to help learn the Sheffield 8-session CAT protocol with Professor Stephen Kellett

This day workshop will enable attendees to deliver 8-session Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) to the service users they treat. The day will rely on attendees knowing the CAT basics and will not specifically teach any CAT theory.

The day will (a) introduce attendees to the 8-session protocol and how to implement this, (b) use qualitative and quantitative evidence from therapists and patients to inform the teaching and (c) will be a space to think about how therapists’ own roles and procedures get in the way of enabling the ‘loose-tight’ focus that brief-CAT requires.

Tickets to this event are free but spaces are limited.
