Leaving Home

This is a parent group around our young people leaving home. We have long had meetings to discuss supported living and we will at this session but where parents are interested, we will be broadening out to look at residential settings, independent living for our more able young people and a word about young people buying their own home – as well as parents considering buying a home for their young person. This is always a lively session so if your young person leaving home is anywhere on your radar (doesn’t have to be imminent) do come along.

Bright Futures @Home

These are sessions for parents to explore SEND Transitions topics. If you are on the Bright Futures mailing list you will receive information about the topic for each session and a link to any pre-reading material.

If you are not currently on the Bright Futures mailing list please email suerobson@ruils.co.uk to request to be added. You can also find out more about Bright Futures and access useful information by visiting our SEND Transitions information hub at https://ruils.co.uk/article-cat/send-transitions/

Bright Futures is a Ruils service which aims to support disabled young people aged 16-25 and their families with transitions – social/health/education/work. It provides workshops, an online knowledge base and more hands on support where needed to make sure that families and young people have the information they need, know what their options are and to feel confident that they can make the best decisions for their future.
