FURTHER INFORMATION
Bright Ideas is an enterprise competition project aimed at young people between the ages of 16 - 25 years. This year Bright Ideas will be delivered in partnership with Avon and Somerset Police to inspire and connect young people into employment and business.
Bright Ideas consists of:
• an enterprise pitching competition where shortlisted candidates will present their ideas to a panel of judges with the opportunity of winning prize money towards developing their idea.
• a mentoring scheme where enterprising young people will be supported by professionals to start up an enterprise or move into further education/employment.
Whether you are a young person, business leader, entrepreneur or a member of the community you are all welcome to join us on the event day which will include inspirational speakers, information stalls and networking opportunities.
What is the criteria for entering the competition?
You can enter the ideas competition if you are 16-25 and have an enterprise idea that can either;
1) improve relations with the police and the community
2) become a viable business
What happens after I have entered the competition?
All entries will be shortlisted by representatives of Avon and Somerset police and other members of the community.
If shortlisted, you will be asked to present your idea to a panel of judges on the event day and be given the opportunity of winning prize money towards developing your idea.
Before the event day you will be invited to take part in two workshops
1) Ideas Shaping workshop
2) Presenting Skills workshop
If you are not shortlisted please join us for an inspirational day with the opportunity to meet and network with other potential entrepreneurs as well as hear from inspirational speakers.
