Online event

Overview

If you have a child in early years (age 0-5) who struggles with processing sensory stimuli, this workshop could help you support your child

This workshop is for parent carers of children aged 0-5 with additional needs or disabilities (with or without a diagnosis) who live in England who have sensory processing differences (unusual reactions to stimuli such as light, sound, touch, smell, taste etc).

In early years, children are learning how to interpret and process different sensory inputs, helping them explore their environment and understand their place in it.

It’s important to help children as early as possible to learn how to deal with any adverse impacts they experience in way they process sensory information.

The aim of this workshop is to help parents of young children who may have emerging differences, to help them manage how they process and react to sensory stimuli.

The workshop will cover:

· The 8 senses

· How we receive, process and use sensory input

· Sensory processing differences

· Self-regulation and co-regulation

· Strategies relating to daily tasks

· Where to find further help and support

The live session will be 90 minutes long and will be held online via Zoom.
