About this Event
Brighter Futures
This project is a joint venture between Knights Training Academy and The Knights Foundation. It is essentially a government funded Traineeship programme that is to enable young people aged between 16 to 24 years old to progress into work or further education, who may have struggled previously due to lack of work skills, lack of English and Maths achievement or other life skills, such as self-confidence or anxiety. Our project will be funded through The Central Training Group who have given us 10 places on this course, which specifically targets learners who would consider themselves to have a disability, which could be physical, learning or mental.
Project Aims
To enable our group of learners to overcome their own barriers.
To educate employers that a “disabled” member of the workforce will add unforeseen value.
To raise awareness of the challenges disabled young adults face seeking vocational work experience and employment opportunities.
