Frequently asked questions

Who is the organising this event?

Lisa Leaf is co-ordinating this event. Please contact her on 07471 476426 or lisal@compassionuk.org with any questions. Youth pastors from churches involved across the city will also be able to answer any questions.

Can my child do this on their own?

If your child is over the age of 16 and they are comfortable walking the full distance they are welcome to join the walk. Any child under the age of 16 will need a responsible adult to accompany them.

Can I park at Oasis church for drop off and at St Peter's church for pick up?

There is some parking near Oasis church, it is a residential area. St Peter's does have a car park which may have some availability, on street paid parking available nearby. We recommend travelling by public transport where possible for collection from St Peter's as traffic can be congested on Sat.

What should I wear?

Sensible clothing and especially footwear to prevent blisters. Sunscreen and a hat if it's warm, waterproofs and walking boots if it's raining; this is England, you know the drill! Feel free to wear a dinosaur outfit if you can make the distance with a tail in tow! :)

What do I need to bring?

Backpack with water bottle and snacks to keep walking for 3 hours.

How do I fundraise for this amazing project?
