Brighton Beer Tour
Sat 22 April 2017, 14:00 – 17:00 BST
A wander around the heart of Brighton, punctuated (naturally) with various ‘beer stops’, where we’ll taste a range of lagers and ales.
We'll learn about the history of beer and brewing in the city, from fishermens' inns to fashionable pump houses, and student hangouts to sustainable craft breweries. And periodically, to reward ourselves for all our walking and learning, we'll stop off at some key hostelries, tasting six beers from across Sussex.
The perfect afternoon out with friends or family – even those who claim they 'don't like beer'.
Are there ID requirements or age restrictions?
This event is open only to those above the legal drinking age of 18 years. ID may be required.
How much walking is there?
We'll be walking and standing for around one hour of the three hour event, with rests in pubs along the way. The route is on pavements and relatively flat.
What should I wear?
Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
What if it rains?
We'll carry on regardless, but may do more of the history/culture stuff inside the pubs rather than outside. Please dress appropriately, e.g. waterproof shoes and coat, umbrella etc.
