Welcome to Brighton Film Studios
Brighton has a long and important history of filmmaking, from the early days of cinema in the 1890s right through the twentieth century and beyond.
Brighton Film Studios, part of MetFilm School, nurtures the talents of Brighton’s future filmmakers. If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to make a movie, come along and find out.
This tour is presented as part of Heritage Open Days and is suitable for anyone from the curious to the camera-shy. However, if you are interested to study with MetFilm School, there are specific open days that cater for prospective students.
Our flagship campus building boasts 11,000 square feet of space. Located just over two miles north-east of the city centre, Brighton Film Studios is one of the most unique film lots of its kind on the south coast.
Alongside two large-scale flexible film sets Brighton Film Studios is also home to an extensive and well-equipped creative art department featuring resources such as:
- Hair and make-up studio
- Production design studio
- Photographic stage for test shoots
