Welcome to Brighton Finds Its Float! At Sea Lanes Brighton


This World Drowning Prevention Day, the Brighton & Hove Coastal Water Safety Forum are coming together with the local community to raise awareness and celebrate water safety with a fun, family-friendly find your float event!

Learn the life-saving skill of floating to survive! Our water safety instructors will be on hand to demonstrate and guide all ages through this vital technique.

Join us as we raise awareness and teach vital water safety skills in a fun, inclusive setting.

Expect FREE activities including:


✔ Insights from a panel of water safety professionals and have your questions answered during an interactive Q&A

✔Free “Find Your Float” practical sessions in or out of the pool
✔ Perfect your throwline rescue technique
✔ Lifeguard meet-and-greet

Do I need swimwear

Yes, please ensure you bring appropriate swimwear Please note Sea Lanes Brighton is a heated outdoor pool so the temperature is lower than a leisure pool

Do I need to be able to swim to participate in the pool Find Your Float Practical session

To take part in the Float to Live practical session, you must be able to swim confidently, as the session will take place in the pool. This ensures your safety and allows you to fully engage with the activities. If you're unsure about your swimming ability, please speak to a member

I can't swim can I still practice Find Your Float

If you’re not a confident swimmer or unable to swim, you can still take part in the Find Your Float session on the dryside area. This option allows you to learn and practice the key techniques in a safe, non-pool environment.
