Behold the lineup for BRIGHTON INTOX EXTRAVAGANZA 13, back by at the beach at a spooky @daltonsbrighton
Lovely live leftfield music will leap from...
ALIEN ALARMS One year on exactly, Intox favourite Alien Alarms returns to combine poetry, prose, philosophy and found sounds with live, improvised generative rhythms, beat chopping and custom software to make music about love, loss, technology and society for the head, the feet and the heart.
MEAT STRAP The name means 'girl dick'... Delia Detritus' drums and vocals merge in inprov with the electric guitar of Max K. Weaver... with song titles such as 'To The Person Who Wrote The Name Of The Swiss Composer Jürg Frey In The Toilet Cubicle At Cafe OTO '. An extraordinary duo.
SOPHIE SIROTA In support of her new record release, Sophie Sirota (a veteran of London Intox Extravaganza) is a viola player and electronic musician. With a background in classical music and film soundtracks (alongside touring with the ilk of Tindersticks) Sophie has embraced real-time audio processing with looped electronic viola in her recent compositions. TIRESIAS 2.0 Tiresias 2.0 is a prog sci-fi Opera by Dominc Matthews that explores how humanity will be remembered in a future we seem unable to avoid.
Tiresias 2.0 is a cybernetic entity tasked with understanding its existence as the last being on Earth. This will be special, and Halloween tinged.
Tickets will be on Evenbrite, and on the door. Intox Extravaganza is a mechanism for musical electicism... ...which is our specialism... ...but we shy away from nepotism!
