Brighton’s Royal Pavilion and Gardens

The Prince of Wales who was later to become King George IVth visited Brighton for his health in the late 1790s and was very pleased with the place. He built his fantastical Royal Palace here influenced by Indian architecture, although the inside of the Palace was decorated in the Chinese style. On this tour you will see the gardens, the outside of the Palace and the stables calked the ‘Dome’, both of the fabulous Gates and you’ll hear about the period of the Regency during the period of King George 111’s unfortunate ‘madness’.
