About this event
Brindle Cuckoo Walks 2022
The Brindle Cuckoo Walks are an annual event run to encourage walkers to enjoy the countryside around Brindle Village by joining us on our family-friendly day. Walks of different lengths are offered and each is led by an experienced Leader, enabling everyone to enjoy the countryside in the company of other walkers.
Numbers are limited, so early registration on-line is advised. (see below for details) Pick a walk length that suits you (or your group) and pay by Credit Card or PayPal.
This event is run by volunteers from the Brindle Community, and profits are given to charities and local causes. This year, the beneficiaries will be voted for by all registered walkers on the day, and funds distributed accordingly.
“Check in” is at the Brindle Community Hall before the start, and upon return “check back” so that everyone is accounted for. This year tea and coffee will be available (by donation) before the start, and afterwards returning walkers sit down for a Hotpot type meal and hot drinks – included in the entry price.
Please expect a raffle, with excellent donated prizes.
The walks are kindly sponsored by:
Brindle Distillery – distillers of Cuckoo Gin
Cavendish Arms, Brindle – our local pub
Walkers should bring stout walking shoes or boots, wet and cold weather clothing, something to drink, mobile phone (if you have one) and expect some muddy and possibly slippery paths. The routes vary across farm fields and stiles, along ancient paths, beside brooks and the canal and are unsuitable for wheels. Dogs are not invited on the regular walks, which is why we have a Dog Walk, where dogs must be under control at all times.
Please note this is a charity fundraising event, so refunds will not be given within the last 7 days.
