Event description

Description

Learn how to resurrect your wardrobe favourites wand dip your toes into the world of sewing and repairs. You'll cover basic mending like how to re-hem and fix tears as well trying out patches and embellishments. There will be clothes to practice on but if there's something sitting in your wardrobe you’d love to fix this is your chance to bring it back to life.

This workshop is run by Imogen, a spooktacular sewing whiz who originally trained as a tailor on Saville Row and now runs her own fashion label.

Why it's time for a #SewSpooky Halloween

Millions of Halloween costumes end up in the bin every year. Scary, right! This event is part of the #SewSpooky campaign by Hubbub UK and North London Waste Authority to reduce textiles waste at Halloween. If you'd like to hear more about #SewSpooky and similar initiatives, visit www.hubbub.org.uk.
