Bring Your Own Project November Sewing Club at Abakhan Mostyn

Bring Your Own Project Club is a weekly sewing session where you can use our Janome sewing machines and get support and guidance from a trained professional with over 20 years of sewing experience.

• Need use of a Sewing Machine or Overlocker?
• Want to sew in a group with other like minded individuals & make some sewing friends
• Short on space to sew at home or lacking the motivation to get going
• Enjoy coming together with like minded people?

Then this is for you! Our Sewing club is a great opportunity to make friends and to share your ideas and latest sewing projects. Planning a new project, not sure where to begin or working on a project and got a little stuck? Need help with a particular technique? Corrie will be on hand to help with all of your sewing questions!

Janome Sewing Machines and Overlockers will be provided but you will need to bring your own projects, fabrics and sewing kits. Please note this is not a full sewing class with full tuition from the tutor, you must have some sewing experience and have your own project you would like to work on each week. As this is a group session the tutor is not available for one to one coaching, just support and advice.

Tutor : Corrie Robinson

I was a professional dressmaker for over 20 years, working from my studio in Prestatyn, North Wales. I specialised in Bridal and Aerial wear, so from satin to stretch. I retired in 2020, so I could focus more on my teaching.

My classes are designed to pass on the skills I learnt over the years. So my students can progress in their own sewing, from beginners to advanced. I have taught with Abakhan fabrics for over 18 years now and have a passion for teaching dressmaking and sewing.

My classes are designed to be fun as well as informative, giving you as much knowledge as I can and helping to further your sewing skills. It’s all about time and practice plus a few handy cheat tips! I love dressmaking and I’m passionate about teaching, so hopefully the 2 combined gives you a great source to draw from, whether it’s making your own trousers to putting in zips.
