Event description
Join us for a day exploring some of the challenges and rewards of bringing your authentic self into your working life.

About this Event

So often, working for yourself can mean you lose sight of your self -- the real 'you' that took you down this road in the first place. And professional development opportunities for the self-employed, or those who lead small teams, can be few and far between. 'Bring Your Self to Work' is a chance to step out of the day-to-day of working life and take the opportunity to reflect on your working self.

Join us for a day exploring some of the challenges and rewards of bringing your authentic self into your working life. Moving beyond the pressure of conforming to a particular set of external expectations, the day is a chance to focus on who you are and who you want to be at work.

The day will be led by four coaches -- Rebecca Louise Kelly, Holly June Smith, Pippa Chappell and Vivianne Child -- who each brings her own experience and expertise.

Rebecca Louise Kelly is the founder of Haelan Therapy, a mentor and transformation coach, combining touch and talk therapies with innovative self study and application.

Holly June Smith is a life coach who helps people find their sweet spot between productivity and presence, so they can get more done without forgetting to live in the moment.

Pippa Brush Chappell is a writing coach, tutor and writer, and is intrigued by words, by what language can do, and by how we create meaning on the page and screen.

Vivianne Child is an excellent coach and change manager, working to challenge leaders to develop and supporting them in a safe space that lets them concentrate on who they want to become.

We'll start off the day with a focus on connection: how when we are connected to our authentic self we can begin to understand what is holding us back from realising our potential. The second session will look at imposter syndrome, how beliefs about our own lack of value are played out in our past and how we can change those for the future. After lunch, we'll look at finding an authentic voice in our working lives -- one that reflects who we are and conveys the self we want to share. We'll then share a session on ways to approach networking with integrity, taking the authentic self out into the working world. The day will end with all four coaches coming together for a question and answer session
